Energize County Sports Partnership becomes an Active Kids for All partner

Energize, the County Sports Partnership for Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, is excited to announce that they recently became an Active Kids For All partner.

This summer Energize will be co-ordinating a number of Inclusive Community Training workshops that have been designed to support the following groups to develop the skills and confidence to include disabled people in sporting activity:

  • Support workers, including those in day, community and faith centres
  • Parents
  • Personal assistants and carers
  • Healthcare professionals
  • Volunteers
  • Community-based groups and organisations.

Those people working within sport-specific environments will be signposted to access inclusion training identified or provided by their governing body of sport.

Dates of courses will be publicised in future editions of Energize's enews, but more information about the course can be found here. If you are interested in being involved please email Helen.freedman@energizestw.org.uk

The English Federation of Disability Sport is working in partnership so more disabled children and adults can enjoy sport and physical activity. Sainsbury’s Active Kids for All offers training for schools and community groups to develop inclusive PE and sport for disabled people.
