Two school children taking part in inclusive PE lessonWhat do previous attendees say?

David Butterworth, PE Leadership and Innovation Project Co-ordinator at Redwood Secondary School:

“The Inclusive PE Training gives teachers a great grounding – as a teacher it certainly gives me the scope to be flexible to allow all young people to achieve”

Jill Newbolt, PE Teacher at Thurcroft Junior Academy:

“The Inclusive PE Training is really important for teachers’ confidence. There is so little time given to inclusion on PE training, and we do want all children not just to be involved, but to be challenged and make progress as well.”

Matthew, a trainee teacher from Manchester said:

"I will now approach all of my PE lessons with the STEP Tool (Space, Task, Equipment, people) in mind. In doing so, I will be able to adapt my lessons to ensure all students are fully involved and appropriately challenged."

Frank, a teacher from Glasgow added:

"I fully believe the workshop increased my confidence to deliver a fully inclusive PE learning environment. For example, I now understand how simple games such as tag can be inclusive and can include a wide range of pupils to set up a fun and enjoyable game for everyone."

What is it?
