Get involved
Get Out Get Active (GOGA) is taking place across England. There are many ways you can get involved in this exciting programme.
Start your Get Out Get Active journey in your local area. Support others to start and stay active. Encourage colleagues and partners to embed new ways of working to be more inclusive for disabled people. Use ongoing and good quality learning from Get Out Get Active insight and resources.
If you are a local or national organisation:
Working together with others is a huge part of GOGA’s success. We would love to hear from you if you have ideas or activities that you think could be useful for the programme.
If you are looking to be more active in your local area:
Want to have fun, be healthier and meet other people in your community? GOGA may be perfect for you.
From April 2024 until March 2025, you can find GOGA activities in Amber Valley, Blackpool, Black Country, Sunderland/South Tyneside, and Wiltshire.
If there is a GOGA activity happening in your local area, we can put you in touch with the local leader. Email our team so we can connect you.
And don’t worry if there isn’t any specific GOGA activity in your area. You can always try the Every Body Moves search tool. This shows activities all over the country. Or get in touch and we'll help to direct you to local providers.
If you are looking for volunteer opportunities:
Volunteers are the lifeblood of sports and activities. Over 4,000 volunteers have taken part in GOGA since 2016, supporting 55,000 disabled and non-disabled people to be more active! We are always looking for more people to get involved and work with our GOGA localities across the country.
Perhaps you want to learn and develop new skills, build your confidence. Or maybe help to make a difference in your community, making it healthier, happier and stronger. There are lots of opportunities to be involved - from activity leaders and buddying, right through to marketing and making that all important tea and cake!
