GOGA legacy recognised in Active Gloucestershire resources
Get Out Get Active and Activity Alliance’s ten principles have been used to write two resources to help local sport and activity providers in Gloucestershire create accessible opportunities for people.
Active Gloucestershire has published two new resources to help activity providers deliver inclusive opportunities.
The documents focus on how to create opportunities for disabled and non-disabled children and young people and older adults and those living with long term health conditions.
Get Out Get Active draws a lot from Activity Alliance’s ten principles and these are at the heart of the information published by Active Gloucestershire. From focussing on ‘me, not my impairment’ to ‘my life story’, the ten principles were developed with disabled people that sports providers should follow to help make their activities more appealing.
GOGA works to create healthier, happier communities and these two new resources will undoubtedly provide valuable information for those trying to create meaningful inclusive opportunities.
