The organisation exists to promote equal opportunities for disabled people in sport and activity through the Mixed Ability model.

The model brings together sport, education and advocacy, recognising the right of everyone to participate in community sport, as equal members, without being separated, classified, or identified.

Mixed Ability emphasises regular, frequent, and sustainable activities, self-determination, club membership and opportunities for social interaction for everyone. In Mixed Ability, people are encouraged to participate together, within their clubs, focusing on what people can do.

The newly published report summarises their progress over 10 years to create a powerful movement in grassroots sport, with replications all over the world. From their beginnings in Wales to the organisation they are today, it documents hundreds of stories of to help showcase their impact.
