Webinar: Understanding inclusive outdoor space and active travel
Join our online event that will discuss inclusive outdoor space and active travel for disabled people. This free webinar, hosted by Activity Alliance, will take place on Thursday 23 May from 11:00-12:00.
Activity Alliance’s Annual Disability and Activity Survey 2022-23 showed that improving outdoor spaces like parks and neighbourhoods is a key area where disabled people want to see improvements. Our research also shows that disabled people are less likely to be active on roads and streets but are more likely to want to be active in these places.
In an hour-long webinar on 23 May experts will discuss inclusive outdoor spaces and what active travel means for disabled people both nationwide and locally. They will also explore how to inform best practice.
Speakers include:
- Transport for All
- Harrie Larrington-Spencer - Research Fellow in the Active Travel Academy
- Ben Andrews - Beyond Empower and Better Places
