Sports Technology Design Challenge
Sport England is on the hunt for technology that will encourage more women, young or disabled people to play sport.
The Sport England Sports Technology Design Challenge is now open for applications. The competition, which closes on 30 November 2014, will award a £10,000 prize to help the winners develop, protect and market their creation. The challenge is open to organisations of all sizes, with the winning entry revealed at next year’s Sports Technology Awards on 27 March 2015, in London.
Speaking at the 2014 ceremony earlier this year, Tanya Joseph, Sport England’s Executive Director of Business Partnerships, said:
“Technology has transformed so much of our lives and we believe it holds the potential to revolutionise the way we play sport at grassroots level. We want to unearth technology that will get more people playing sport, especially women, young people or disabled people.”
