Join #TheBigHelpOut to mark the Coronation
To mark His Majesty The King’s Coronation thousands of organisations across the country are getting together to give us all the chance to help out in our own local communities.
To mark His Majesty The King’s Coronation, thousands of organisations across the country are getting together to give us all the chance to help out in our own local communities.
The Big Help Out is a campaign to showcase how volunteering benefits both communities and the people who take part. The long-term aim is to get more people volunteering who traditionally don’t consider it.
The campaign will encourage a national day of volunteering on Monday 8 May 2023 – and hopefully to keep people volunteering after the day. From checking in on someone who’d like a bit of company or volunteering for a charity the more of us who join in, the bigger help we will be.
Organisations including sports clubs are asked to support the initiative by:
- Organising an event
- Spreading the word on social media
- Highlighting volunteering opportunities within their club
- Sharing stories about how volunteering can enrich people’s lives
