Inclusive Activity Programme eLearning module now available to all
Activity Alliance adds new online learning option to the Inclusive Activity Programme (IAP) with support from UK Coaching Solutions. From today, people can learn how to make physical activity inclusive and accessible to everyone at the click of a button.
The IAP eLearning module offers a fun and interactive introduction to the Inclusive Activity Programme. Through self-led study, you will explore the theory of inclusive activity, including key inclusion models, participation barriers, and communication principles.
Individual practitioners, community group volunteers, disability organisations, and sport and leisure organisations can now complete the IAP eLearning module as a standalone online training option. Making the module available to everyone is a key part of our mission to create an inclusive workforce that is confident and skilled in delivering accessible sport and activity opportunities to disabled people.
Individuals and organisations can purchase and complete the IAP eLearning module at a cost of £15 per person (bulk discount available for organisations).
In the eLearning module, you will:
- Understand the benefits of being active and recognise potential participation barriers for disabled people
- Develop an understanding of different inclusive approaches, including Activity Alliance’s Ten Principles, the Activity Inclusion Model and STEP Tool
- Learn about the importance of inclusive communication
- Receive an interactive online workbook to support your learning
- Earn 0.5 CIMSPA CPD point on completion.
The module is hosted by our partners UK Coaching and takes approximately 1 hour to complete. For the best learning experience, we recommend using a desktop computer or laptop. Internet access is required. To ensure this training opportunity is accessible to as many people as possible, it includes voice-over, video captions and screen reader accessibility features.
