The National Disability Sports Organisations (NDSOs) are a good starting point for many deaf and disabled people who want to be more active. They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

Stoke Mandeville Stadium hosts Paralympic Heritage Flame Lighting Ceremony
WheelPower were proud to host the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games Heritage Flame Lighting Ceremony at Stoke Mandeville Stadium. The flame was lit by wheelchair curlers Aileen Neilson and Angie Malone MBE and following the ceremony will be sent virtually to China to celebrate the final build up to the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games.

The LimbPower Games and exercise multisport event is back! It will take place at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympics. LimbPower is so excited that the most anticipated event of the year will go ahead in 2022!

Islabikes launches new bikes for riders with dwarfism
DSAuk Ambassador Steve Scott MBE has worked with Islabikes to design a bike for adults with dwarfism. Steve has worked hard and with his experience and extensive input, the team have been able to get the biomechanics right to produce an off the peg bike specifically designed for adults with dwarfism.
Special Olympics GB – 23 February 2022
Special Olympics GB return to full-scale competition with Summer Series of Sport in 2022
This summer, for the first time in almost two and a half years, Special Olympics GB is set to return to full-scale competition with the largest celebration of intellectual disability sport in Great Britain with a brand-new format called The Special Olympics GB Summer Series of Sport.
British Blind Sport – 21 February 2022
Join British Blind Sport for their first multi-sport event of the year
British Blind Sport (BBS) is partnering with Lowes and Gateshead Council to host an inclusive sports Have a Go Day on Sunday 13 March. Open to blind and partially sighted people of all ages, as well as their families, the event offers a relaxed and supportive environment to try a variety of activities such as goalball, cricket, football, athletics, tennis, and more.
