Raising awareness of disabled supporters in LPF Weeks of Action 2014
The Level Playing Field Weeks of Action 2014 run from the 15 to 30 March. This time is an opportunity for sports clubs to highlight the positive work that they do for their disabled supporters. The two week period gives each club and/or organisation the opportunity to showcase their work at a home game or an event.
The Level Playing Field (LPF) is a registered charity in England and Wales. They also act as a campaigning and advisory organisation to its membership and other parties across all sports. They provide information on facilities for disabled fans at clubs and stadia, along with useful football, disability and access reports, guides, good practice documents and general disabled supporter information.
This week, the BBC ran a report about the only three top-flight stadiums in the Premier League currently provide the required number of wheelchair user spaces. You can read the article here.
If you want Level Playing Field to advertise your club's activities for the Weeks of Action 2014, please email info@levelplayingfield.org.uk or calling 01244 893584.
Level Playing Field is also happy for events to take place outside of the two week window.
