National Junior Para-swimming Championships to continue as planned

Activity Alliance is monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely and following the latest guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England.

At this time, there is not a requirement to cancel sporting events. Therefore, following discussions with our event partner Swim England, the National Junior Para-swimming Championships will take place as planned this weekend (14-15 March 2020) at Sunderland Aquatics Centre.   

We will continue to work closely with Swim England to monitor the situation and follow the latest guidance. If we receive notification that we should not hold the event, or the venue is unavailable due to coronavirus, we will try to postpone in the first instance.

The welfare of all participants, volunteers and spectators is of paramount importance. We ask that all attendees are diligent and follow the NHS guidance on hand washing.

Event information

  • Event: National Junior Para-Swimming Championships 2020
  • Venue: Sunderland Aquatics Centre, Stadium Park, Sunderland, SR5 1SU
  • Dates: Saturday 14 March-Sunday 15 March
  • Saturday: Session one, race starts at 9:30am. Session two, race starts at 2:30pm
  • Sunday: Session three, race starts at 9:30am

Spectators will be able to buy tickets at the venue on the day. Start lists and results will be available online on the day of the event. Follow the event conversation with the hashtag #JuniorParaSwim20.
