Islam Channel launches sports show
The Islam Channel is launching their first dedicated sports show.
Sports Weekly will be shown on the channel, for the first time, on 8 November and then every Tuesday evening at 18:30 and repeated the same night at 22:30.
Islam Channel has been building relationships with many sports so as to bring their viewership the best possible footage. Cultural diversity in sport is something the channel takes very seriously and is hugely aware of getting the right blend of both mainstream and culturally diverse footage.
Many sports teams and governing bodies are now building wider relationships with communities throughout the United Kingdom. The Islam Channel and Sports Weekly hope that they can help in the sporting education of the large Muslim populations within communities who now have so many BAME role models, in so many sports.
