EFDS staff member to appear on BBC One as part of 2016 Invictus Games coverage
An English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) member of staff and former Wimbledon Wheelchair Men’s Doubles Champion will be broadcasting live on BBC One this spring, helping to cover the 2016 Invictus Games.
Jayant Mistry is EFDS Sports Development Officer (Best Practice) and winner of almost 70 international titles as a wheelchair tennis player.
And through the week of 9 May, Jayant will be assisting the likes of Gabby Logan, Ade Adepitan, Daraine Mulvihill and Rachael Latham with their coverage of the Games, which will feature over 500 competitors from 15 countries and will be held in Orlando, Florida.
TV presenter Gabby Logan will lead the team in presenting live studio coverage from Orlando each weeknight of the games. She said:
“I am honoured and excited to be bringing audiences at home all the latest drama and excitement from the 2016 Invictus Games.
“It will be amazing to support all the competitors, to hear their stories and to shine a light on their phenomenal achievements.”
