RSPH launches new youth led social media campaign- Dream it. Try it. Live it.

Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) are launching a brand new youth led social media campaign- Dream it. Try it. Live it. The campaign is designed to celebrate the summer of sport and encourage young people to try new healthy behaviours.

The youth health movement is a national collective of young people and organisations who work with young people. Created by the Royal Society for Public Health, its aim is to give young people the skills, knowledge and confidence to act as peer mentors, increasing awareness of healthy lifestyles and encouraging involvement in activities to promote good health across community and educational settings. They are supported by Public Health England.

The focus of their exciting new campaign is challenging young people to adopt at least one new healthy behaviour and raise awareness of health related issues at the same time. Volunteers aged 14-16 will be responsible for pushing out the message to their peers across a variety of different platforms covering topics such as sport, fitness, mental wellbeing and healthy eating.

They’ll be invited to the RSPH office for ten days over a three week period, 1-19 August. During this time they’ll have the opportunity to coordinate a multi-platform social media campaign, designed to be implemented throughout the duration of August and into the new school year to encourage young people with a range of lifestyles, abilities and fitness levels to adopt a new healthy habit.

The campaign will be centred around three steps to making your lifestyle healthier:

Dream it.

Having the initial thought or idea about a new healthy behaviour.

Try it.

Gradually trying out the new behaviour.

Live it.

Making it a positive part of your life.
