Seated throwing back in the England Athletics spotlight

England Athletics, supported by WheelPower, have launched further support to help develop seated throwing in England. 

They developed a package of support which includes:

  • Guidance on the equipment used for seated throws.
  • ‘Seated Throws Start-Up Group’ programme to help identify where equipment and expertise is available within affiliated athletics clubs around the country.
  • WheelPower Athletics Clubs Project to fund equipment for one club.

These initiatives add to the existing support to clubs and coaches for seated throws through the Local Coach Development Programme (LCDP) and direct support to clubs through our team of local Club and Coach Support Officers (CCSO).
