Associate membership
Founded in 1998, we benefit from the wealth of its Members’ expertise. In 2015, we added the Associate Membership scheme to move the charity’s vision forward and encourage more organisations to get involved. Through the Associate Membership, we will work with a range of leading national, regional or local organisations with the relevant experience and knowledge.
We exist to make active lives possible and ensure that millions of disabled people can lead active lifestyles. Dedicated to disabled people in sport and physical activity, our charity supports a wide range of organisations to include disabled people more effectively.
As Associate Members, organisations agree to understand and utilise the Activity Alliance ten principles. The principles were borne out of the Talk to Me report and developed with disabled people. If used effectively, they can help providers to make their activities more appealing.
Organisations support our Charter for Change, which was launched in February 2015 and aims to improve the number of active disabled people. The Charter outlines the key changes needed to ensure many more disabled people can reap the benefits of being active for life.
